Connect to the small, the slow, and the hum
Hello. Welcome to Button Snail Hum and our first seed of nourishment.
Honor the small slow hum within you.
Find a small object
maybe a button, stone, or shell
and hold it in your hand.
Take a long, slow breath
all the way in and all the way out.
And hum…
feel the vibration of the hum…
hear the sound of the hum…
let the hum hold you and carry you…
allow the hum to return you to yourself.
Return to this practice throughout your days, especially in moments when you feel overstimulated, tugged in many directions, or after you’ve been scrolling images or advertisements that pull you towards outsourcing.
Perhaps keep your small object with you (in your pocket) as a reminder.
The hum will always bring you home.
