Embrace blur
nurturing presence amidst uncertainty
There are times when we can’t see beyond where we are.
Things feel uncertain, disorienting, porous, and floating.
All we see is blur.
Blur is not a problem.
It’s not something to get through or clear away.
It’s not for us to look around or wait (or want) for it to part.
It doesn’t keep us from anything on “the other side” of it.
It does not veil us from any truth.
Blur is simply blur.
Our practice is to be with it and let ourselves see-smell-hear-feel-sense-remember-dream-know-wonder-create-breathe into its expansive unknowing.
Place a hand on your heart.
Take a long, slow breath.
Maybe hum.
Maybe say “thank you.”
Maybe feel a root grow down to ground you.
Maybe do nothing at all.
Be with the blur.
Feel its aliveness.
Listen (without trying to make sense of anything).
Listen (without trying at all).
Listen and feel yourself fall or float.
Listen as you merge into the blur.
Wishing you congruence and peace within your experience.
