Notice beyond
a practice of stretch and trust
There’s a lot to notice within our 3D realities… an endless bounty in what we see, hear, touch, taste, smell, and perceive of the physical world.
And there’s more—much, much more—beyond what we might classify as “observable” or “physical” or “real.”
All matter is energy—ceramic cup in your hand, fragment of dream in your mind, wisp of birdsong through your window, slant of light across a page.
There’s no hierarchy or separation between physical-spiritual, object-idea, scene-dream. It’s all matter. And it all matters.
To begin…
Hold something small in your hand (maybe a button or stone).
Notice how you sense its physicality. Don’t think too hard; allow the ways you notice to reveal themselves.
Then…
Sense your connection with the object. You might continue to hold and look at it, or you might close your eyes and touch your heart instead.
Loosen anything you’ve named, categorized, understood, or detailed about the object. Feel these threads untether from your mind and let them drift away.
Stretch into your presence with the object. Let this feel and be what it is without trying to make anything “happen.”
The beyond lives in your trust of what is present.
Love, Melissa
