What's wrong?!
a re-frame when we feel the density of “problems”
There’s a lot that’s “wrong” in the world. We feel the density and heaviness and ache.
The question—What’s wrong?—seems simple and true. We ask it with good intentions to care and help and try to make things better.
But this question is held in the logic of problem/solution and hubris of separation. When we ask it, we are bound inside the myopia of its frame and its hunger for explanations and control.
How do we widen the aperture of this question and live into the loving kindness we seek?
May we consider:
Curiosity lives in moments of presence, not in the formation of a question. Hmmm. Let me sit with you. I see you. Let’s be with this together.
Problems form when we resist where we are. We can choose to listen and learn, loosen and let go. We can choose to trust wisdoms beyond what we can see.
Movement is listening. Our words are often too tied to old logics, and we easily get tugged and trapped in what feels too tight. Instead of asking/answering questions, may we draw how we feel, dance with uncertainty, hum and roar and chant, and explore the well of language within us.
Love, Melissa
