Thank you is I see you.
I honor the fullness of your presence.
A thank you flows from my mouth
and forms its offering.
You receive it
soft and warm, fold it into you.
And in your receiving,
I receive a gift—
a pause, an ocean, a seed of connection
between and beyond us.
I am you. You are me.
We are spiral.
Gratitude lives here
in the endlessness of again,
as moon, bumblebee, and stone.
That stone you hold in your hand,
the one who reminds you
that you, too, are small and enough,
that your giving is receiving
and your receiving is a gift
to the aliveness of it all—
the awe and the ache,
the marvel and the mystery,
the pulse you feel in a beetle’s breath
as you bow down to the soil
and say thank you.
Love, Melissa

This is the 40th morsel of Button Snail Hum and the final post within the 10-month container of its offering. I’ll send another email next week with some thoughts and news about what I sense emerging from this field of hum.
If you’ve received nourishment from these weekly morsels, I’d love to hear from you about what you’ve experienced. Add a comment below or email me directly.
Thank you for being you.
